Rick was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He played football for, and graduated from, Forest Park High School.  After his high school graduation, Rick enlisted in the U.S. Army and served overseas.  Once done with his enlistment, Rick worked for AT&T and then Lucent Technologies while he attended college at the University of Cincinnati. He, his wife and children live in Boone County, Kentucky.  Rick enjoys movies, reality shows and football.   

After he received a Bachelor of Science in Administrative Management from the University of Cincinnati, Rick enrolled at the Chase Law School at Northern Kentucky University.  He is a class of 1999 graduate of the Chase Law School, where he served as a member of the Moot Court Board and the Northern Kentucky Law Review.

Rick started his legal career working as an associate at Eric Deters & Associates.  While working with Eric Deters, Rick acquired and sharpened his litigation skills.  He later became a founding partner in the law firm of Moeves, Richardson & Scott.  Rick also previously served as an adjunct Professor Law at Southern Ohio College and Beckfield College.  In 2004, Rick and Brad Fox began working together.  They are the founding partners of Fox & Scott, PLLC.

Rick's practice is entirely devoted to litigation in the areas of family law/domestic relations and criminal defense.  He has over ten years' experience in representing people in these areas.  His practice centers on helping people when they are experiencing highly stressful and frightening issues in their lives.  Whether you are going through a divorce, a custody battle or you are facing a criminal charge, Rick has the experience and knowledge to guide and counsel you through those tough times.
